Real Madrid take on Espanyol in their next La Liga match with coach Jose Mourinho looking to win over the fans with a comfortable victory on Tuesday.
Los Blancos go into the match on back of a comfortable 2-0 win over Ajax in their Champions League match last weekend with Vurnon Anita scoring an own goal while Gonzalo Higuain doubled the lead late in the second half.
Mourinho expressed his satisfaction over the result, pointing out at yet another clean sheet and will be hoping to build on that result by collecting all three points against a side against whom they have won four of the last five meetings.
Meanwhile Espanyol will be looking to recover from their heavy defeat to Villarreal from their last game with coach Mauricio Pochettino hoping to avoid another thrashing by Madrid. Espanyol kicked off the season with a comfortable 3-1 win over Getafe though Pochettino will be aware that his side has a lot of work to do if they are to improve on their 11th placed finish from last season.
